Why SDAWG exists

The diaspora funds and runs much of Somalia's recovery, yet sits outside the rooms where it is decided.

Somalia faces overlapping crises of conflict, displacement, climate shocks and fragile governance. The Somali diaspora, long a driver of remittances and community development, remains underrepresented in policy dialogue and humanitarian coordination. SDAWG turns dispersed effort into strategic, sustained advocacy.
